Don Whitley Scientific Ltd (DWS) is proud to share an annual contribution of £3649.42 for their chosen charities the Holly House Charitable Foundation and Andy’s Man Club.
Throughout 2025, the DWS team have taken part in a variety of activities including sponsored walks, pub quizzes, bake sales, an Easter raffle, Christmas jumper day, a charity Halloween event, and more to raise essential funds for these fantastic organisations.
Both charities are integral for providing a positive impact in the community, and DWS is honoured to play a part in aiding their initiatives. The Holly House Charitable Foundation supports small, local charities that offer life-enhancing opportunities to vulnerable young people. Meanwhile, Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free support groups to end the stigma around men’s mental health.
As a token of the company’s commitment to the wider community, DWS is pleased to announce the introduction of a ‘Charitable Day’ for all employees from 2026 onwards.
Tom Walton, Service & Business Continuity Director, explains why introducing this initiative is integral to DWS’ culture and future vision:
“DWS has always been a people-first company, and we’re proud of the generosity our team has shown in supporting our fundraising events not just over the past year, but over almost five decades of our history.
Our ‘Charitable Day’ enables employees to take a paid day of leave to raise vital funds for a charity of their choice. This can be through any activity, whether that be a fitness-based fundraiser, team challenge, volunteering contribution or more.
This new scheme not only encourages employees to take time away from work to support causes meaningful to them but also broadens our indirect reach to a wider range of local and global charities.
We look forward to rolling out this exciting and valuable initiative in 2026 and beyond.”
