UBM™

UBM™ is a molecular specimen collection, transport and preservation device designed to preserve DNA and RNA for reliable molecular diagnostic testing.

A guanidine-free, surfactant-based formulation helps stabilise nucleic acids while inactivating viruses, bacteria, fungi and yeasts, supporting safer specimen handling, processing and transport. The medium helps maintain nucleic acid integrity throughout the workflow, from specimen collection through to laboratory analysis.

UBM™ is compatible with FLOQSwabs® and is available in different configurations to support a range of specimen collection requirements. The device preserves DNA and RNA for up to 28 days at 2–8°C, 15–21°C and 33–37°C and supports nucleic acid amplification testing and next-generation sequencing through manual or automated workflows.
